Welcome to REAP

REAP stands for Remove, Reduce, Educate, Adjust, Accommodate, and Pace. It is a community-based team plan to help kids recover from a concussion. REAP uses four main teams: Family Team (FT), Healthcare Professional Team (HCP/T), School Physical Team (ST/P), and School Academic Team (ST/A). Each letter in REAP shows important steps these teams need to follow. All the teams are important, but some help more at the beginning of recovery, some in the middle, and some at the end when the student is ready to fully return. The main goal is for everyone to work together during the whole recovery process. This helps the student safely return to school, learning, friends, sports, and play. It takes teamwork to help a child heal!
